DRESDEN7 is an abstract artist and photographer based in Los Angeles, California. His work is deeply rooted in Arcane Symbolism, Esoteric Spirituality, BioMechanical Surrealism, Archetypal Metaphors, and Tribal Abstraction. The visions act as a medium, or conduit, to extract the thoughts, allegories, and emotions hidden in the subconscious mind. In other words, "Subconscious Extraction via Abstract Aesthetics."

With a background in neuroscience and philosophy, the artwork infuses scientific principles and emergent technologies with symbolic imagery inherent to spirituality throughout human history. It speaks to how the ever-expanding integration of technology will affect the human condition, especially from a spiritual standpoint. The work interweaves a complexity of themes deeply rooted in the premise that all sentient beings share a common, Akashic thread. The designs incorporate the sacred, resonating power of symmetry and geometry, while simultaneously fusing arcane wisdom and esoteric truths throughout all ages. It emanates a surreal, visceral energy merging history, science, and spirituality into a singular vision.

The name D R E S D E N symbolically represents the cycle of birth, life, death, and rebirth inherent to all living, sentient beings. Taken from the capital city of Saxony, Dresden was historically an epicenter of cultural and artistic splendor in Germany. Due to its exquisite Baroque and Rococo architecture, the city was an exceptional example of human creativity, and was a leading European center of art, classical music, culture, and the sciences. On February 13th, 1945, the city was just short of obliterated during an air raid of World War II with the main city center almost completely destroyed. Within the past few decades, the city of Dresden has undergone a tremendous reconstruction and revitalization, with a resurgence towards its original cultural and artistic brilliance. Therefore, the name Dresden symbolically represents the duality of human nature, and it's perseverance through the inherent cycles of existence. In other words - the timeless resilience of the soul.

The N U M B E R 7 represents humanity's pure consciousness and it's eternal connection to the Source - The Great Creator. Seven is the number of the Universe. It is the Three of the Heavens [Soul] combined with the Four of the Earth [Body] - being the first number containing both the spiritual and the temporal. The number Seven has become significant in the metaphysical, religious, and spiritual doctrines throughout the expanse of human history - as seven represents pure creative energy in it's most raw and sacred form. It is consciousness, transcendent and eternal.
